"I believe that beauty lies within all of us. It is my passion to execute a clean approach to makeup that allows your natural beauty to shine through." char
Since the age of 8, Char Braden has been fascinated with the art of beauty and makeup. Char would play in her moms vanity table and try on everything. Her dolls had elaborate hair cuts of layers, asymmetrical bobs, and hairstyles. Char loved makeup and hair so much that every year for Christmas her favorite aunt would buy her beautiful makeup cases full of colors and applicators. Before becoming a makeup artist Char was an Executive Administrative Assistant for 3 physicians.
Char has been working as a production makeup artist for over 6 years. Char received her makeup training at Academy of Makeup Arts (AMUA) in Nashville after completing a 6 month internship and furthered her education at Tennessee College of Applied technology where she received her Esthetics license. Char was chosen to represent the academy twice, being selected nationwide to compete at IMATS (International Makeup Artist Trade Show) Los Angeles, California and Toronto, Canada.
With a passion for teaching and continuing education, Char has had the privilege of instructing at Nashville Film Institute in Nashville and AMUA, served on the Board of Professionals at Remington College Cosmetology program under the leadership of the programs’ Director, and sponsors her own training classes. Char is passionate about motivating others and remains a mentor to new and rising Makeup Artists and Hair Stylist.
Char has been named Makeup Artist of the Year by RAWartist, StayOnTheGo.com’s Best Fashion Makeup Artist of the Year, voted Best Makeup Nashville 2016, and has served as Key Makeup Artist for various tv/film projects, fashion shows, and non for profit organizations. Giving all credit to Jesus Christ for her successes, Char looks forward to many years to come.
